Lunchbox Seminars and Discussions

The Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI) has regular weekly presentations held in the Sir James Foots Building (47A), The University of Queensland. Presenters include representatives from each of the Centres which form the SMI, in addition to external visitors. Seminars are held each Thursday from 1 until 2pm.  For schedule details, please click here.
SMI Presentation Room: Level 4, Sir James Foots Building (No 47A) at the University of Queensland, St Lucia campus.

The CMLR also holds occasional and less formal seminar sessions where CMLR staff and students gather to either listen to a seminar, discuss an item of interest or update each other on relevant papers, topics, issues etc. These seminars provide an informal forum for discussion and the exchange of ideas. Research staff and postgraduate students are encouraged to share their findings with their colleagues and also speakers are invited from within and outside the University. Seminars are usually restricted to staff and students only. If you are not from UQ and interested in presenting or attending please contact the seminar convenor Melina Gillespie first.
